About CedarNova Academy
CedarNova Academy teaches children to build with technology rather than only consume it. Classes are live, small and taught by instructors who have actually shipped software and hardware β because the difference between a demo and a working thing is most of the lesson.
The name puts Lebanon's cedar next to a new star: something rooted, and something just beginning. We are based in Lebanon and teach families wherever they are, with every schedule shown in the family's own time zone.
What we believe
- A child should finish every session with something that works
- Not a slide about loops β a thing that runs, that they can show you, and that they can explain.
- Small groups, or it is not really live teaching
- Six children maximum. An instructor who cannot see every screen cannot notice the child who quietly stopped following.
- Progress reporting should be specific enough to be uncomfortable
- Every four weeks you get attendance, completed work, three to five scored skills and a written narrative β including the current challenge, not just the highlights.
- Children are not a growth channel
- No public student profiles, no leaderboards, no streak pressure, no advertising based on a childβs behaviour, and no selling of child data. Ever.
What we do not do
- We do not record classes by default, and never without explicit guardian consent.
- We do not offer private one-to-one messaging between an instructor and a child.
- We do not run an AI tutor. AI is a subject we teach, not a substitute for a teacher.
- We do not promise that your child will become an engineer. We promise good teaching.
